I am interested in the hormonal and neural basis of behavior. My research follows a comparative and neuroethological approach. As a postdoctoral associate in the Gracheva lab, I am examining neuroendocrine mechanisms of hibernation in thirteen-lined ground squirrels. Previously, as a graduate student in the Bass lab, I investigated mechanisms driving daily and seasonal rhythms in vocal behavior of a highly vocal fish, the plainfin midshipman. As and undergraduate student in the Schlinger lab, I studied hormonal mechanisms fueling the acrobatic "dancing" display of a tropical bird, the golden-collared manakins. Thanks for looking!
